Grand Designs featured this modern, steel framed, floating glass house built down in Cornwall and inspired by the James Speyer house highlighted in the 80's cult movie, 'Ferris Bueller's Day Off'. Oli was hired as Project Consultant as well as for his carpentry skills. He got on great with the TV crew and, if you watch the episode, you will see him 'on the tools', being interviewed, directing the construction team for the frame installation and getting a very nice plug from Kevin at the end! The house was also subsequently included in a special episode of 'Kevin's Grandest Designs'.

Eco House Design
Architectural 3D drawings illustrate to our client how their unique and ground-breaking cruck-framed eco-house would look in situ.
Two Stage Build
This house was built in two stages as requested by our client. The central gabled section and one wing was initially constructed before we returned to add on a whole side extension to mirror the existing wing. The finished house is now fully symmetrical with the extension providing two further ensuite bedrooms upstairs and open plan living accommodation downstairs.
