A listed threshing barn in need of urgent repairs to prevent further damage to the building. Rotten battens were replaced with like-for-like timbers and then the original tiles and ridge bonnets re-secured, leaving a watertight and secure building safe from further harm.
Barns/Restoration:
Threshing Barn Repairs
Elm Frame Repairs
We made essential repairs to the key structural elements of this elm framed barn, to include the tie beams, rooflight window frame and the gable end wall. Any rotten wood is treated or reinforced with new timbers so that the frame is solid again.
Beam Replacement
This rotting beam, holding up the corner of this listed cottage, was badly in need of replacement. A new solid oak beam was installed and the job finished with matching bricks, to the satisfaction of both our client and the conservation officer!
