Adding a beautiful oak framed porch to this new build house adds character and practicality. Built on a brick plinth, with glazed panels into the apex and a solid oak front door, the porch itself is recessed under the tiled roof behind two oak posts standing proud, finished with a wide flagstone step.
This large oak framed porch extension gives this bungalow valuable additional usable space. A cost effective way of increasing the footprint of a property, as well as providing another layer of front door security, kerb appeal and, of course, added value. We popped back on a freezing cold morning to see how it was weathering in.
Fully insulated porch extension with black stained cladding, a new side window and full height glazed panels either side of the front door to let in plenty of light.
"We think it looks fab! Please pass on our thanks also to Toby & Ryan, who worked so hard during those cold months." Mr & Mrs R Hill, Tilford
Chunky oak posts provide the support for this half & half flat roofed porch extension. The design creates a covered approach to this single storey home with the second half of the extension built as an internal hall/foyer.
The addition of this hand made overhanging porch has enhanced the appearance of the house and given some much appreciated cover for our clients. A quick visit by our electricians to install an overhead light completed the job.
Replacing an existing but dated porch gave this house a much needed and appropriate facelift. Careful handling of the roof tiles during construction meant we could re-use them so the new roof fits in seamlessly. Shown some time after completion, we see the oak now weathered down to a gorgeous silvery grey.
With the front of the house newly painted, and the porch timbers weathering down nicely, this bespoke open-sided porch now looks like it has always been there - just as it was designed to be!
We designed and provided the oak frame for this glazed lobby for a repeat client in Wiltshire. They are thrilled with it and the extra usable space it provides. As we return to measure up for another project, it's lovely to see it weathered in and fully furnished.
An old plastic 'lean to' wasn't creating quite the right impression as the entrance to this busy Surrey farm shop, whereas this replacement solid oak frame addition does. It also provides additional display space and has the added bonus of being fully weatherproof (compared to the structure it replaced!).
“Five Oaks have put up an oak frame on the entrance to my Farm Shop. Right from the start it has been a pleasure working with Oli and his team. He has been very professional and very positive all the way through and his attention to detail and quality of work was superb. And delivered on time despite the bad weather!” N.
