About Us
We are a small firm with big capabilities and over the last 15 years have delivered an extraordinary and diverse portfolio of work. No two projects are ever the same and despite a huge range of experience, we still consider every day a school day.
The business was started by Oli Guthrie and he still heads up every project. Together with his expert team of subbies and trades, he is as passionate about delivering a great client experience as he is about delivering the finished project. We're a friendly bunch and fun to work with (so say our clients) and we want your build to be an enjoyable experience for everyone; before, during and after.
We can help with every step in the process from initial design, through planning (if needed) and obviously construction. Or we can just build if that's all you need. And we will make every effort to turn your vision into reality whilst taking pride and care in all the details all the way through to the finish.
We've worked with a lot of Conservation Officers and are very familiar with Listed Building restrictions so, should these affect your proposals, we can give you a steer on likely requirements from the outset as well as what reports or conditions are typically imposed, together with outline timings, material selection etc., etc.
We are based in Hampshire and work predominantly here and the surrounding counties but can, and have, travelled much further afield as and when required. We typically operate on a first come first served basis and don't advertise (beyond this website!), relying almost entirely on repeat business and referrals from our existing clients and contacts.
Some restoration projects can be a little hard to fully assess until we get clear access to the buildings' timbers, but otherwise all our projects are fully costed up front and we always keep in mind that every penny counts. Whilst you may come across seemingly cheaper options, rarely when compared on a like-for-like basis, but we have been proven time and again to offer the best value. Our clients have described us as transparent, honest, trustworthy and dependable - and, alongside really enjoying what we do, that's as much as we can ask for.
